The restaurant was cute and very aesthetically pleasing. The food was great! The experience however was a little disappointing. I tried this place for the first time on my birthday for brunch. I came in and there were two tables being occupied so there was no one in the establishment really. I walked in no one greeted me. They just looked. Finally after a a couple mins a young lady came over and asked how many. It was two of us. One had not arrived yet so she seated me but seemed very apprehensive about it. The server who came over barely wanted to speak. Wasn’t friendly and seemed annoyed that I was there. I understand I came in a hr before closing but I still expected to be treated with kindness. Basically he took the order, brought the food over and never came back. I finally asked another person to grab our server and she came back with a lady. I asked her what’s going on and how come out server haven’t came back to assist she said that he had to setup. What does that have to do with service? Just ruined the experience. The cooks did a great job though. Didn’t feel welcome. I probably won’t ever come back. I still tipped the server Andrew but he was horrible today. Be more min

I had lunch at Host in Utica about 2 months ago. I work within walking distance of the restaurant and had been hearing great things, so I finally decided to check it out — and I’m glad I did. First off, the decor and ambiance were absolutely gorgeous. Chic, upscale, but still warm and inviting. The staff was super friendly and honestly seemed like they genuinely enjoyed working there, which always makes the experience even better. Now let’s talk about the food and coffee… AMAZING. I ordered one of their weekly specialty coffees (can’t remember the name, unfortunately 😩), but it was so good. For lunch, I had the Traverse City Cranberry Nut Chicken Salad Croissant with a side arugula salad and baby… 10/10. The croissant sandwich was huge, fresh, flavorful, and filling — I only made it through half. I was told they switch up the menu monthly and feature a new chef, which honestly makes me want to go back even more to try the dinner menu. Overall, I’d definitely eat there again and would highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area.

Visited a very special place this morning that left us longing to return… “Host” of Utica! We saw their 4.8-star Google review out of 1,124 people and had to swing by and check it out. Well, I’ll raise you 1.2 for 5 stars for Host!! 👏👏 Ample street parking on a Wednesday morning in Utica (also public on south side), hubby & I walked past a few businesses and into Host and immediately somehow felt we’d been elevated! The ambience is edgy and elegant giving off an elite vibe matched by the informative attentive staff and everything that was set before us. The barista approached us immediately taking our latte orders from a versatile coffee menu, and our lovely waitress Bailey didn’t miss a beat welcoming us, fielding questions and sharing the restaurant’s cool concept of “Host”-ing new chefs bimonthly representing freshly-curated menus of palate delights. She later informed us of classes held on 2nd floor for making cocktails and sushi! While enjoying our lovely lattes, we quickly ordered French omelets with mushroom and bacon additions that were timely served and clearly plated with care. My husband noticed there were no salt & pepper shakers anywhere, signifying the chef’s

we went to Host last weekend and had a wonderful experience. It's a lively restaurant, but still chill enough to have a conversation while dining without needing to shout. Most that have been here know the chef and menu's rotate. This time is a latin twist and the menu doesn't dissapoint. We shared the empanada appetizer and then had the fish and pork chop entree's. Very tasty food with a nice blend of flavors and just a little spice to liven things up. Drinks were as always a treat. They always put a nice theme or seasonal spin on cocktail classics (like my nighthawks manhatten) or the relatively unique Four Seasons. The service was superb! our server was very friendly and engaging as well as informative. She was also on the spot for anything we needed without crowding us. I will continue to come here again and again. Always a new treat!

First time visitor! Amazing experience! Such a fun and inviting atmosphere and awesome vibe as soon as you walk into the restaurant. The staff were all amazing. The food was outstanding. We had brunch today. Had the French omelette and friend had the special French toast. Everything was delicious! The coffee, drinks. .everything. Our waitress, Sarah was so awesome and inviting, she took the time to talk to us and explain the meals and food and make the experience that much better. Can't wait to visit again and try dinner and more!
